Do I need clamps, and what size works with this hose?

Clamps are not included. You'll need hose clamps that fit 4-inch diameter tubing — standard worm-gear or t-bolt clamps rated for high-temp applications work fine. Get spring clamps or band clamps if you're dealing with tight spaces.

Can this handle boost pressure, or is it coolant-only?

Three-ply silicone is rated for both coolant lines and boost applications. The construction won't collapse under pressure or vacuum, so it works for intercooler piping, turbo charge pipes, and radiator hose replacement.

Does the blue color fade or require any prep before installation?

Blue silicone is UV-resistant and won't fade under normal underhood exposure. No paint or prep needed — clean the connecting ports, slide the hose on, and clamp it down.
