Will this hose work with stock clamps, or do I need stepped hose clamps?

Three-ply silicone handles both vacuum and boost. Confirm your boost level and clamp it down properly—undersizing clamps is where failures happen, not the hose itself.

Does this come with end caps or plugs if I'm not installing it right away?

The hose ships open. Plug the ends with tape or caps before storage to keep dust and debris out of your coolant or intake tract.
