Do I need clamps for this hose?

Yes — use hose clamps rated for your application. Silicone expands slightly under heat, so stainless steel clamps (worm drive or band style) are recommended. Don't over-torque; hand-tight plus a quarter turn is the standard.

Will this work for fuel lines?

Silicone hose resists fuel, but check your application pressure first. This hose is best for coolant, heater circuits, bypass lines, and low-pressure vacuum. For direct fuel delivery in carbureted or EFI systems, verify your pressure rating doesn't exceed the hose spec.

Can I route this hose through a tight space?

A 12" straight section won't bend sharply without kinking. If you need a turn, either cut and splice with couplers, or order a pre-made 90° or 45° elbow separately. Never force a radius tighter than 3 times the hose diameter.
