Do I need to replace any bolts or studs when I install this?

Check your existing header bolts — if they're corroded or stripped, replace them while you're in there. Most builds use fresh hardware anyway, but the gasket itself doesn't require new fasteners.

Should I clean or prep the header and cylinder head surfaces before installing?

Yes. Scrape off the old gasket material and wipe both surfaces clean with a rag. Any carbon buildup or debris prevents a proper seal — takes five minutes and makes a difference.

Can I reuse this gasket if I pull the header off later?

Once it's compressed and torqued down, treat it as single-use. Aluminum gaskets don't re-seal the same way. Grab a fresh one if you're pulling the header again.
